The entrance leads you straight into the Amazon rain forest, where you may be caught in a rainstorm. Follow the path of the water through the mangrove swamp, down under the surface where the sharks live. Later exhibits allow us to experience the circulation of water in Nordic conditions. A unique fish ladder takes many courting fish from the Baltic Sea into Aquaria during October and November. This is because Aquaria has a connection with the Baltic Sea. Come and discover all the amazing animals and fish that live in our aquariums.

Whether you decide to dine in one of our restaurants, enjoy a show at the children’s theatre, compete in the pentathlon, experience one of our many live concerts or ride one of our 30 nerve-racking rides – a day at Gröna Lund is always filled with joy and laughter.
Experience the change at Gröna Lund – the place where the unbelievable becomes true, old turns young, the smallest one is the bravest and up is mostly down. Everyone is welcome at Gröna Lund!

The Liljevalchs exhibition program includes a broad range of art and design with something for everyone – from a general to specific interests. Every spring Liljevalchs hosts the well known juried Vårsalongen exhibition. Liljevalchs belongs to the Stockholm municipality and was inaugurated 1916 as the first independent and public gallery for contemporary art in Sweden.

Experience a day of magic in our fantasy house. The Story Train is central to Junibacken, with its journey through the fabulous stories of Astrid Lindgren, but you will also meet many other famous figures here, such as Alfie Atkins, Festus and Mercury, the Moomins, and many others. The exhibitions and theatre performances have all been taken from our most-loved children’s books.

Nordiska museet presents exhibitions in fields that include folk art, the Sami people, fashion, jewellery, Swedish interiors and traditions. The museum has the form of a Nordic renaissance castle, and visiting the building itself is a memorable experience. Borrow an audioguide free of charge and explore the museum and the fine exhibitions at your own pace.

Waldemarsudde was originally the home of Prince Eugen (1865-1947), and is now one of Sweden’s most highly visited art museums. Prince Eugen was one of the most accomplished landscape painters of his time and an important collector, mainly of Swedish art. The collections comprise around 7,000 works, and include paintings, sculpture and artefacts. A selection of Prince Eugen’s own work is displayed throughout the year, while the museum also displays works from the collections and temporary exhibitions. A beautiful park, glorious with its flowers and sculptures, surrounds the museum.

You can see and learn about biodynamic cultivation of vegetables, flowers and fruit at Rosendals Trädgård, and you can buy plants and accessories, visit the exhibitions, take a course, or just enjoy yourself on a rug under an apple tree. Our café serves lunch, sandwiches and cakes, made using ecological ingredients of the season. We bake the bread and cakes on sale in the café and in the shop by hand in wood-fired stone ovens. Stiftelsen Rosendals Trädgård is a non-profit organisation; all profits are reinvested into the operations.

Step onboard the Sjöhistoriska museet’s own museum ships and other historical vessels that visit Stockholm – both sailing ships and warships.

The Finngrundet lightship – a ship that shines
The Finngrundet is from 1903 and is one of few lightships in pristine condition. Welcome aboard to see how lightships work and what life on board was like.

The Sankt Erik icebreaker – a historical steamship with an icebreaker café
The Sankt Erik icebreaker was built nearly 100 years ago and was the first ocean-going icebreaker in Sweden.

Skansen takes you back in time to meet the people who live there, carrying out their daily tasks. You can meet wild animals including bears, wolverines and elks at Skansen – Stockholm’s own zoo. There are major events for all traditional holidays and celebrations throughout the year. The new children’s zoo (Lill-Skansen) allows children to play indoors and meet many different animals. You can enjoy a meal at one of the pleasant restaurants with a fine view of Stockholm. The museum shop sells traditional crafts and Swedish design. Skansen is open every day, all through the year.

Spritmuseum is an entirely unique venue, located in a pair of 18th-century navy sheds on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm. Here, you will be overtaken by Scandinavia’s most original art collection, scents and flavours in exhibitions and tastings, not to mention one of the world’s best museum restaurants. The view over the harbour entrance of Stockholm and our own jetty are complimentary.

Thielska Galleriet is one of the finest museums in Sweden with Nordic art from the turn of the previous century. Located at Blockhusudden on Djurgården, the mansion was completed in 1907 for bank director Ernest Thiel. Art from Anders Zorn, Bruno Liljefors, Carl Larsson and Edvard Munch is displayed in the turn of the 1900 century setting. Don’t miss the Monika Ahlberg café in the center of the museum.

The ship is on display in a specially built museum that also contains ten exhibitions about the Vasa and her age. A film describing the history of the Vasa is shown each hour, and guided tours are offered daily. We have a shop with a wide range of goods, and a pleasant restaurant
